The committee (formerly known as the International Committee on Microfinance and Financial Inclusion, www.nysba.org/MAFIC) supports the expansion of microfinance and other methods of financial inclusion, social enterprise, and social finance via both commercial and non-profit sectors. As a cross-cutting discipline, related legal issues include banking and e-banking, international investment, insurance, secured transactions, security interests, alternative dispute resolution, poverty eradication, and women’s rights.
